Pair to Constance J Walshe, Order of St John. BWM and Victory Medals (named: C. J. Walshe. O. St. J.). Confirmed with MIC, which states she entered theatre of war 1A on 14 July 1916 and was attached to the 'O of St John (Brig Hos)'. Constance Josephine Walshe was born in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland, on 11 March 1885, the daughter of local pawnbroker Michael Walshe and his wife Mary Jane. A nice pair, particularly scarce to an Irish nurse. EF, £110.
